PRE-DEPARTURE SAFETY BRIEF

After completion of all pre-flight preparations but prior to aircraft movement, a "Pre-Departure Safety Briefing" shall be initiated by either pilot. The purpose of this briefing is to review and confirm planning data, identify and manage possible threats to the flight, and initiate any changes in planning if required. The briefing shall include, but is not limited to, the following:
•Aircraft – Airworthiness, cockpit and cabin prep, impact of MEL items, etc.
• Weather – Departure, en-route, destination and alternate weather forecasts including icing, thunderstorms, ATC delays, and abnormal situations or conditions.
• NOTAMS – Local, Class D and FDC NOTAMS applicable to the flight.
• Fuel Loading – Required, loaded, adequate for the planned flights.
• Runways – Condition, length, slope, and conditions, at all planned airports.
• Departure – Clearance, procedure, gradients, obstructions, actions in emergency etc.
•Performance – Speeds, power settings, gradients, obstructions, actions in emergency etc.
• Destination – FBO, services available / required etc.
• Safety Check – Planning complete, recommended actions to enhance safety
